Adventure Day 4: More Elephants, Cheetah, Leopards & one U-G-L-Y Stork

The morning started at 7 a.m. with freshly baked bread at the backpackers. YUM! We were originally scheduled for a dolphin cruise, but a big storm (with lots of rain and wind) changed our plans. We went to the Elephant Sanctuary as originally planned, but we were unable to ride the elephants because of the downpour. Some students did brave the torrential rains as they walked the elephants with trunk in hand. No dolphins, but I think we got to experience something even cooler...cheetahs, leopards, and the craziest looking storks (see photo below) at the Tenikwa Cheetah Rehabilitation Center. We had the chance to get up close and personal with some of the fastest animals on this earth. Man, leopards have a beautiful coat! Lunch was pretty chill as we hung out at the Kynsna Waterfront shopping area and then back to the Afrovibe hostel in Sedgefield.

Great pics! This had to be a highlight of the trip. Animals are so calming, as well as, beautiful. Too bad it was raining.
