Packing up and Moving in...

Packing up our old apartment.

Superhusband cleaning the fridge (in our new apartment)...in the midst of stuff.

Happy Birthday, Anne.

Moving is always an adventure. Packing up is not as fun as moving and settling into a new space. Since we were only moving our clothes, books, food, alcohol, etc. and not furniture, the actual move itself was quick. We had about 6 suitcases, 3 boxes, and 12 bags (Ikea bags, paper bags, and a few plastic bags) filled with all of the stuff we have acquired in the last 9 months, plus the stuff we brought with us from the U.S. Our adopted Finnish family, Anne and Julia came over with two cars and we packed up and made two trips to unload at our new home, about 1 kilo away from our old apartment.
Chillin' on our nice deck.
A member of our moving crew, Mama Anne, had a special birthday.
So, after 1.5 hours of moving we sat down in our new home to celebrate with friends and a birthday cake!

Your place gives you more room and you will find it much more comfortable. I'm glad you had people to transport your things. A birthday celebration just adds to the move. We loved the tour on Monday. It was most impressive.
